After years of trying to find a way to get "fit," I decided to prioritize my overall well-being instead. This meant paying attention to both my mental and physical health.
You see, my past is filled with diagnoses—PTSD, PMDD, ADHD, IBS, and fibromyalgia—and working out just exacerbated my symptoms.
Sustaining a "fitness regimen" felt impossible, and for the longest time, I believed it was because I was just lazy!
After investing years into my healing journey, becoming a somatic stress release practitioner, and studying psychology, I realized that my nervous system was in a constant state of overdrive due to maladaptive stress coping mechanisms and past trauma. It's no wonder I was exhausted and ready to collapse after just a few minutes of exercise.
I decided to redefine what being fit means for me and discovered a more holistic approach to my well-being goals. Now, it means honouring my mind and body and understanding what they need at any given moment, rather than pushing myself mindlessly past my limits. "Fit" to me is about creating inner peace, expressing my authenticity and expanding my capacity to live the life I crave.
My purpose is to inspire you to embrace your well-being by honouring your mind, body and soul so that you can get back to living the authentic life that you crave.
Lots of Love 🫶
